Biography Hanningtone is the head of ALP Kenya and is regarded as one of the region’s best Litigation lawyers, respected for his powerful courtroom presence. He has a great wealth of experience that cuts across Energy Law, Project Finance, Construction Law, Public Procurement Regulation, Contracts and Corporate Management, Arbitration and Litigation. He has been on a tour of duty as the Chief Executive Officer of the East Africa Law Society (EALS), with a mandate to oversee the welfare and capacity building for over 20,000 members while promoting the East African Community’s regional integration. He is credited with turning around the fortunes of the regional brand steering it through a highly-ambitious strategic plan that has seen the organization claim a stake as the leading non-government organization in the EAC integration. This leadership and enterprising spirit is appreciated at ALP EA as a leading firm in promoting integration and revolution of the legal fraternity in the region. Prior to ALP, Hanningtone has successfully served as an associate in the region’s two leading law firms: Anjarwalla & Khanna (Africa Legal Network), and Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews. He has also served as a senior in-house counsel at Kenya’s leading electricity generator; KenGen, and Stima SACCO. He served as a contracts and projects officer for the Olkaria Geothermal Power Projects Hanningtone is a Fellow of the Emerging African Leaders Program(EALP) of the University of Cape Town, and is recognized as an emerging leader under youth category in Africa. effective conciliation operating to a uniformly high standard in both the public and private
sector.
Participation in the Conciliation Service processes is voluntary, and so are the outcomes.Solutions are reached only by consensus whether by negotiation and agreements facilitated between the parties themselves or by the parties agreeing to settlement terms proposed by the Hub Conciliation Officer who treats as confidential all information received during the course of conciliation and the service is informal and non-legalistic in practice.
The ALP Conflict Resolution Hub Ombudsman Service is a confidential, impartial and
informal service that facilitates the resolution of disputes. A Hub Ombudsman helps parties
analyze problems and assists in identifying options and can, only if requested, become
involved in trying to resolve issues.
What’s more, the Hub Ombudsman Service alert managements to systemic trends and
issues and makes recommendations for necessary changes in their fields.
